Part A: Adaptec SATA Controller Setting

Verify that the onboard Adaptec AIC-8130 SATA Controller is enabled. The controller will be

enabled when pins 1 and 2 are jumpered.

Part B: Configure motherboard BIOS

The following configuration changes need to be made in the motherboard BIOS prior to entering

Adaptec RAID Configuration Setup Utility:

1. Press the “Delete” key during POST to enter the BIOS setup.

2. Go to the Advanced Menu, then select Chipset Configuration and press “Enter”.

3. Set the AIC-8130 BOOTROM item to “Enabled”.
